That is a small world. Two German descended Opponauts in Califronia, conversing in shitty German at 1:30 AM. I didn't expect that to happen 3 hours ago when this thread started.

I took 3 years of German and got the Rosetta Stone program, which sucks. It's easy to cheat it and you don't learn how to speak the language as much as guess pictures and memorize. Lucky for me German in English are so similar.

My plan (or dream?) is to move to Germany, but I face a dilema. I want to work for Mercedes but they're in Stuttgart and I want to live by Hamburg. I lived in Elmshorn during my exchange and it's half an hour by train outside Hamburg, or was such an awesome town. I guess I'll have to compromise and go work for Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, shade.
